Dire Lord Ability List


Blood States

Bullet.png Blood States are a form of on-going buff which allow the Dire Lord to quickly adapt to various group roles. They have no resource cost to be used or maintained, but you're limited to one active Blood State at a time. You can switch Blood States whenever you like or deactivate them, with a 1 second cooldown before you can swap or activate another Blood State.

Cure

Bullet.png Cures remove Diseases, Poisons and Curses from a target.

Beneficial (Buffs)

Bullet.png Buffs are any ability that enhance a player or creature's attributes and capabilities.

Bullet.png These Buffs are self only.

Defensive

Bullet.png Defensive abilities are those that are designed to block/reduce damage, or help the character survive or escape combat.

40px Canopy of Blood[1] Self Sacrifice 25% of your total health to create a shield that absorbs a percentage of your total health in spell damage, while also making you immune to all magical effects.
DL dire mark icon.png Dire Mark[1] Single 15 Essence 25m (1m cooldown) 10s Mark a member of your group or raid. Whenever that player takes damage, 25% of the damage will be redirected to you. You cannot apply Dire Mark to yourself.
DL sanguine shield icon.png Sanguine Shield[1] Self 30 Essence 15m (30s cooldown) 5s Create a shield of Essence, reducing the damage of all incoming projectiles in a frontal arc by 20% and increasing your Essence by 4 when damage is absorbed in this way.

Detrimental (Debuffs)

Bullet.png Detrimental abilities (debuffs) are any ability that weakens the recipient, making it harder for them to fight. Note: Generally, debuffs of the same type do not stack. There are some exceptions, which are noted when they occur.


Non-Stat Debuff

Bullet.png Non-Stat Debuffs decrease a target's non-statistic attributes, such as attack speed, armor class, critical chance, etc.

Sever an enemy’s will, putting them in a helpless state. While helpless, attacks against this enemy will not miss and cannot be dodged, parried, blocked, counterattacked or resisted.

Infuse darkness into an enemy, reducing their Magic Resist by 2 and destroying 10% of their Mana. While active, you will regenerate 2 Essence every 2 seconds. Only usable on targets with mana.


Silence

Bullet.png Silence abilities are a form of debuff that prevent their target from Casting.

Snare

Bullet.png Snare abilities reduce the enemy's movement speed.

Causes your enemy's Essence to grow thick and heavy, slowing their Movement Speed by 40% for 5 seconds, then rooting them in place for an additional 5 seconds.


Drain

Bullet.png Drain abilities damage one of the target's resources (Health, Mana, etc) and give some amount of the damaged resource to the Caster.

Melee Abilities

Spreads 1 detrimental effect on an enemy to 4 additional enemies within 5 meters of the target.

Misc.

Bullet.png A broad category, best thought of as the home for any ability that doesn't fall directly into the other categories.

Taunt

Bullet.png Taunt abilities are those that center around grabbing and maintaining the attention (Agro/Aggro) of a hostile creature.

Afflict an enemy's mind with relentless apparitions. Whenever you strike the afflicted target in combat, Provoking Phantoms will gain 1 stack up to a maximum of 20. Each stack will increase the amount of Threat you generate on the target by 10%. You can only use Provoking Phantoms on one enemy at a time - using this ability on a new target or striking a different enemy will immediately remove the effect from the original target.
