A Class is a common method of arbitrating the capabilities of different player characters in Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. A character class aggregates several abilities and aptitudes, and may also detail aspects of background and social standing, or impose behavior restrictions. Classes may be considered to represent archetypes, or specific careers.
Usage
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen's use of a class based system entails having these classes fulfilling roles; especially in group and raid contexts. There will also be opportunities to focus each class on more specific and specialized roles, especially at higher levels. Classes fulfill distinct roles which will create vital interdependence between players, leading to a fulfilling social and cooperative experience.
Roles
Pantheon will use a quaternity system of roles: (This means there are four distinct roles available.)
1. Tank (Examples: Warrior, Paladin, Dire Lord)
2. Healer (Examples: Cleric, Druid, Shaman)
3. DPS (defined either as Melee or Ranged; sometimes called Damage Dealers) (Examples: Rogue, Ranger, Wizard)
4. Crowd Control (Examples: Enchanter, Bard)
Classes for Launch
There are 12 classes proposed for launch: Cleric, Dire Lord, Druid, Enchanter, Monk, Paladin. Ranger, Rogue, Shaman, Summoner, Warrior, Wizard
